Today the Chancellor announced this Government’s final Autumn Statement.
I have been greatly encouraged by a number of points including the commitment to keeping fuel duty frozen for the seventh successive year, saving drivers £130 a year on average; a £1 billion investment in full-fibre broadband and trialing 5G networks and that the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage will increase from April 2017.
Also of importance is the Chancellor’s commitment to spending £1.1 billion to reduce congestion and upgrade local roads and public transport. With this in mind, I shall continue campaigning to ensure the A120 receives the vital funding necessary for improvements.
