Blue Badge Scheme
James Cleverly MP welcomes extension of Department for Transport Blue Badge Scheme.
From the start of this month there are major changes to the Blue Badge Scheme.
It means that those people with non-visible (hidden) disabilities may be eligible for a Blue Badge if they would experience ‘considerable difficulty whilst walking, including psychological distress, or be at risk of serious harm to themselves or others’
For example, this could mean some with Alzheimers, Dementia, Autism, Crohn’s disease could be eligible – even though they can physically walk.
