Care home visit
James Cleverly visits the New Deanery Care Home in Bocking to meet residents and staff.
Two years ago the care home was in the news for all the wrong reasons. The Old Deanery (before a name change) had been at the centre of bad headlines after two care workers had abused residents. It would be hard to imagine a bigger blow to the reputations of either institution.
Today presents a very different story. After a change of management, a focus on improvement and two years of effort, the most recent inspections from the CQC respectively has given the care home a clean bill of health. This is a great turn-around.
James said: "I'm really pleased for them and that they are now striving for excellence, best of luck to them."
