James Cleverly visited the new Church Lane Surgery today on the College at Braintree campus on Church Lane. This surgery will take the patients previously registered at the St Lawrence Surgery.
James said:
“I’m impressed with how imaginative everyone involved in the project have been. The council has used some of its reserve capital to fund the building and refurbishment and will derive an ongoing income from it. NHS England have shown a willingness to look beyond the traditional estate model for the delivery of health services and the college has shown great creativity in its use of facilities.
“This creativity now means we have a purpose built, fully functioning community asset that will be used for decades to come. There are already plans to expand the range of treatments available.
“I wish the surgery team all the very best for the future!”
