Local MP James Cleverly joined Chief Constable BJ Harrington, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst, and Essex Deputy Lieutenant Sidra Naeem at the passing out parade for 70 new police officers.

James said:

“We now have record numbers of officers in the force and their fantastic work is bringing crime down across the county.

“It was particularly nice to meet a number of new officers who will be posted to Braintree police station and will be looking after the towns and villages in our constituency.

“Huge congratulations to all those officers who have joined the force.”
