James Cleverly met with Keith and Eilleen Harte at their amazing family run Stud Farm in Finchingfield.
Horse racing is deeply embedded in the UK's rural economy, providing jobs and boosting tourism. It also plays an important role in supporting rural communities, land management, and promoting the UK's global reputation as a leader in equine sports and breeding.
James said:
“Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Keith and Eilleen Harte at their amazing family run Stud Farm in Finchingfield.
“I was able to see mares in foal, yearlings almost ready for auction and some young foals in the care of their mothers, whilst Keith and Eilleen explained to me the journey of a foal to a racehorse.
“With over 650 stud farms across England, Scotland and Wales, these businesses are significant employers in our rural communities, underpinned by exceptional standards of animal health and welfare.
“Mill Farm offer open days for local people, most recently during National Racehorse Week. If you get a chance to visit when they next offer this, do go along, you will have an amazing time.”
