Public drinking is an issue which has been raised with James and he has, in response, discussed the matter with Roger Hirst the Essex Police, Fire, and Crime Commissioner.
Essex Police are working with Braintree District Council to put in place a Public Spaces Protection Order for Braintree town centre following reports of anti-social behaviour.
The proposed order focuses on addressing issues such as aggressive and threatening behaviour, and the consumption of alcohol in public.
Braintree District Council is currently holding a 28-day public consultation, which allows you to share your own experiences of anti-social behaviour in Braintree Town Centre and your thoughts on the proposed order.
