New apprenticeships mean more young people in Braintree are getting the skills they need to succeed.

New figures show that 440 new apprenticeships were started by people in Braintree between August 2014 and January 2015. In total 3,880 new apprenticeships have been started since 2010.

These apprenticeships not only mean more young people getting the skills they need to get on in life but also local employers have a strong local talent pool to help them grow.

Across England 2.2 million new apprenticeships have been started since 2010. A future Conservative government would go even further, committing to deliver 3 mi6llion apprenticeships by 2020, funded by reducing the maximum amount that can be claimed on benefits from £26,000 to £23,000, and limiting young people’s access to housing benefit.
