I worked in businesses for over 20 years before getting involved in politics including a number of years running my own company.  I know how important the small business sector is.

Dear business owner,

Small businesses are at the heart of the Conservatives' long-term economic plan.

That plan is backing business with lower taxes and less red tape - and that's helping businesses lead the recovery and create jobs across the country.

Many people running small businesses have signed a letter asking the British people to stick with the plan that's working and securing a better future.

Today I'm asking you to do the same - so that together we can keep Britain's business-led recovery on track.
