Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs

James was appointed Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs on 6 September 2022.

He has previously served as Secretary of State for Education, Minister of State (Minister for Europe) and as a joint Minister of State (Minister for the Middle East and North Africa) in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development..
